In these turbulent times, two longtime friends have had enough of constant divisiveness and hateful rhetoric. Paco Fiallos and Reggie Grant conceptualized and designed a T-shirt to promote inclusiveness and positivity.

“Just be cool” is a term they often use to sum up their feelings when someone does something mean and hurtful.

You called the police on a black person for no good reason? No. Just be cool.

You humiliated someone because of their sexual orientation? No. Just be cool.

You disrespected your partner? No. Just be cool.

You just beat someone up? No. Just be cool.

The two are former colleagues at a Florida high school. Their combined 30-plus years of teaching experience and their backgrounds has made them highly sensitive to historically marginalized populations.

But, really, their simple message is universal and meant for everyone: Be considerate. Be nice. Just be cool.

Their hope is to make the world a better place, one T-shirt at a time.

Funds will be used to pay for the production of these shirts. For future T-shirts, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to non-profit organizations that support the fight for equality and justice.
